2025 Samueli Commencement Program Listing of Graduate Names
Please note the program brochure listing of degree conferred/candidate names is separate from any commencement activities or participation (which are optional).
The commencement printed/online program brochure is a list of conferred degree names and candidates for the current academic year 2024-2025.
This listing is compiled for graduate (Ph.D., M.S., MEng) and undergraduate (B.S.) students regardless of whether a student partakes in any optional commencement activities.

WHO IS LISTED in the 2024-2025 Program Brochure?
- Fall 2024 – Conferred Degrees of Graduates
- Winter 2025 – Conferred Degrees of Graduates
- Spring 2025 – Degree Candidates
- Summer 2025 – Degree Candidates
Spring/Summer 2025 candidates are engineering students who communicated their intent to graduate to their respective undergraduate and graduate academic affairs unit no later than Friday, April 18, 2025 (see TICKETS page at navigation bar and review STEP 1).
NOTE: Fall 2025 ARE NOT LISTED as you are part of next year’s Class of 2026. Those participating in this year’s commencement ceremony are “walking” early as a Special Request.
REASONS YOU MAY NOT BE LISTED
- You are a Fall 2025 Special Request Candidate. FALL 2025 students will be listed in next year’s 2025-2026 program with your official class, so long as you do not have any privacy restrictions preventing us from listing you.
- You missed a critical step in the eligibility process (see the TICKETS page at the navigation bar and review STEP 1).
- You have a privacy restriction (FERPA or NO PUBLIC INFORMATION RELEASE) that prevents us from publishing your name (see TICKETS page to update privacy settings by 05/16/2025, which has now passed).
ABOUT YOUR NAME LISTING
- Engineering uses your lived name on file with the Registrar’s Office.
- Students that have or need a name correction please process an update immediately through the official process outlined with the Registrar’s Office Names, Changes, Special Marks, and Errors. Students were asked to make these updates by May 16, 2025.
- During the ticket ordering process, the MyUCLA Commencement feature allows students ordering tickets* to confirm/verify their name or submit Ph.D. thesis** edits. The deadline for edits/changes via the MyUCLA VERIFY NAME feature was Friday, May 23, 2025.
*Fall 2024, Winter 2025, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025 students
**Specific to Ph.D. Students, were able to edit or provide an udpated Dissertation Title and input Faculty Advisor(s). - As a courtesy, a FINAL DRAFTS of the program were posted on this page for students to take a final look and provide one last change by Thursday, May 29, 2025 11:59PM
- Reminder, that Fall 2025 Special Requests approved to “walk” this year ARE NOT LISTED as they will be listed in next year’s program. However, your name will be called, you will cross the stage, your photo taken, just like all the other candidates!
