​UCLA Samueli Materials Science & Engineering Commencement

UCLA Samueli School of Engineering will host a virtual commencement ceremony on this site. The video link will be live on Sunday, June 13 at 12:30 p.m. (PDT). Press the “play” button in the center of the video and use the chapter information to guide your viewing experience.

This video features the same content presented in the school’s main 2021 virtual commencement video, but with the presentation of degree candidates only from the Materials Science & Engineering Department. The conferral of all degrees by UCLA Samueli Dean Jayathi Murthy, as well as various speeches and other traditional elements are all included in this video.

After June 13, the video will be archived on the UCLA Engineering YouTube channel and the 2021 Commencement website.

Tassel-Turn App

The Class of 2021 Tassel-Turn App will allow our graduates to experience the tassel-turn and confetti-fall as they take a picture with a personalized certificate. You can change the tassel colors according to your school and degree. After your degree is conferred by Dean Murthy at the end of the ceremony, be sure to take a picture using this app and share it on social media using the hashtags #UCLASamueli2021, #UCLA2021, #ClassOf2021, #EngineerTogether and #BruinEngineer.
