Samueli Commencement Program Listing of Graduate Names

Please note the printed listing of degree candidates’ names is separate from any commencement activities or participation (which are optional).

The commencement program brochure listing is a list of conferred degree names and candidates for the current academic cycle.  This listing is compiled for undergraduates (BS) and graduates (MS, MENG, ENGR, PHD) students regardless of whether a student partakes in any commencement activities, which are optional. Please continue to read the following to ensure your name is listed in the program:

BELOW is the FINAL DRAFT of the 2022-2023 degree candidate list of names that will be included in the 2022-2023 program brochure (as of 05/24/2023):

• FINAL DRAFT OF BS list of Names (as of 05/24/2023)
• FINAL DRAFT OF MS, MEng list of Names (as of 05/24/2023)
• FINAL DRAFT OF PHD List of Names, Dissertation Titles, and Faculty Advisor (as of 05/24/2023)

• Students were asked to verify their names by 05/15 (original deadline).
• A final courtesy check was extended to Sunday, May 21, 2023 11:59PM (PDT).

Reminder, that Fall 2023 Special Requests approved to “walk” this year will be listed in next year’s program.   However, your name will be called, you will cross the stage, your photo taken, just like all the other candidates!

WHO IS LISTED in the 2022-2023 Program Brochure?

1. Fall 2022 Conferred Graduates
2. Winter 2023 Conferred Graduates
3. Spring 2023 Degree Candidates
4. Summer 2023 Degree Candidates

These are engineering students who communicated their intent to graduate to their respective undergraduate and graduate academic affairs unit no later than Friday, April 21, 2023. If needed please refer back to:  Engineering Commencement Tickets

REASONS YOU MAY NOT BE LISTED

1. You are a Fall 2023 Special Request Candidate.  FALL 2023 students will be listed in next year’s 2023-2024 program with your official class.
2. You missed a critical step in the eligibility process.  Please refer back to to Engineering Commencement Tickets
3. You have a privacy restriction which prevents us from listing/publishing your name.   VERIFY/UPDATE YOUR PRIVACY RESTRICTION (login to MyUCLA, Go to Settings at the top of the page, select Privacy Options).  Please make these changes no later than Monday, May 15, 2023.  

            HOW TO VERIFY YOUR PRIVACY RESTRICTION (via MyUCLA) – THE DEADLINE TO UPDATE YOUR PRIVACY RESTRICTION TO BE INCLUDED IN THIS YEAR’S PRORAM HAS PASSED.

                 If you selected DO NOT RELEASE for the All Public Information Privacy Option, your name will not appear in the commencement program and may restrict UCLA from providing degree confirmation to future                   employers.  In order for your name to appear in the Commencement Program, you must select RELEASE the All Public Information Privacy Option.

• • If you have a FERPA Restriction (your status will be set to “Selected”) and would like your information to appear in the Commencement Program, please see the Registrar’s Office about removing the restriction.
  • If your FERPA Restriction is set to “Not Selected,” you do not need to contact the Registrar’s Office

ABOUT YOUR NAME LISTING

1. Engineering uses your official name on file with the Registrar’s Office.  Please check your official name on file ASAP.
2. Students that have or need a name correction please process an update immediately through the official process outlined with the Registrar’s Office Names, Changes, Special Marks, and Errors.  Please make these changes no later than Monday, May 15, 2023.
3. Students may be able to edit/confirm their name publishing via the MyUCLA program feature.Confirm the Spelling of your Name*, Dissertation Title (PHD Only)**, Faculty Advisor (PHD only)** for the COMMENCEMENT PROGRAM ONLY
   *Fall 2022, Winter 2023, Spring 2023, and Summer 2023 students will be able to Login to MyUCLA when ticket ordering begins to edit their name and to add special accents and punctuation.
   **Specific to PHD Students, you will be able to edit or provide your Dissertation Title and your Faculty Advisor(s):

   To best assure your name lists in the printed program as you prefer please check the program feature beginning in MyUCLA May 12 and make any edits no later than Monday, May 15, 2023.

    

4. Remember to check your privacy settings via MyUCLA as your setting could prevent us from publishing your name (please review REASONS YOU MAY NOT BE LISTED section above).
